"Surgery on Friday"

I had my hip replacement surgery on a Friday and was assured that the recovery programme would start a few hours after surgery. Instead I saw my first physio on Monday afternoon and could not leave the hospital until Tuesday at 6 pm. A physio came to my house on the following two Saturdays which did not compensate for the original wait in the hospital.
The Cwerp programme indicated that I would be treated markedly differently.
