"It felt like very little attention was given"

About: Tameside General Hospital

(as the patient),

The section of ward I was a patient at, in my opinion, was like a corner in a storage area. I got no response to questions I asked from staff and the only response did receive was from the person on duty when I was due to leave.

My meals were not palatable and could be better. There was noise in the area from heating system, all day sounding like a squadron of planes flying over. If I had to go into this ward again, I would refuse. It felt like very little attention was given and my injury to knee wasn't checked.

Thank you for posting this comment. I was sorry to read that you were disappointed with your stay at the hospital. I would very much like to follow up the issues you have raised. Would you be willing to contact me at the hospital to give me further details?

Kind regards

Philip Dylak

Director of Nursing

Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved?

Please contact Philip Dylak, Director of Nursing at philip.dylak@tgh.nhs.uk
