"rude car parking staff member"

As a 74 years old cancer patient

I arrived an hour early for my appointment with the oncologist there were no spaces in the car park after going round twice i stopped to ask a member of the parking staff where the nearest alternitive parking was they said past us up the hill Windsor FC my wife said we are sorry but we dont know the area their answer in a loud tone was I have already told you once up the hill to Windsor FC. we tried to find it but ended up in the town centre car park where we had to get a taxi to hospital and back again afterwards as you can imagine this is not the stress etc that i need. please have a strong word with this rude person. We are told we must not abuse staff surely the staff should not abuse the patients

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your posting and please accept our apologies for the attitude of the member of staff on this occasion. Unfortunately, parking is a major problem at King Edward VII Hospital. We have asked staff not to park on busy days and we have asked that meetings are not held there. All clinics should now advise patients that parking is an issue.

We can no longer suggest alternative parking as the nearest parking is in Windsor town centre. We did at one time tell patients of local streets but unfortunately residents complained and most streets have parking for resident permit holders only. All we can do is try to keep the traffic moving and park people as soon as a space becomes available.

I will contact our Site Services Manager to inform her that you were stressed by the attitude of a member of parking staff towards your wife and request that she raises this with them. We expect our staff to behave with courtesy and respect at all times. If you contact me directly, we could discuss this further and perhaps get closer to identifying the individual concerned.

Yours Sincerely,

Trevor Lyalle
