"Excellent care on Ward A10"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Older people's healthcare

Our mother (Jean) was admitted to Ward A10 on 7th November with a suspected stroke.

The problem turned out to be an infection, which was diagnosed and dealt with within a few days. During which time we all felt that the care that she received was outstanding.

All the nurses, doctors and care assistants were so caring and considerate, both to my mother and to all my family, and this really helped us all during this stressful time.

The way that this ward is set up, with a dedicated nurse looking after just four beds means that all the patients get a fast response to any needs and we really felt at ease leaving her in their hands.

Thank you from all Jean's family for the caring and professional way in which you all looked after our Mum.

I am sorry to hear that your mother has been poorly and hope she is now on the road to recovery.

I appreciate that having your loved ones in hospital is an anxious time and I am pleased to hear that staff were able to assist you and give you reassurance during your mother’s stay in hospital.

I would like to thank you for your kind words and I will ensure that they are shared with the management team responsible for Ward A10.

Kind regards
