"Hearing rejuvenated"

I was required to have my hearing exam after 4 years of wearing hearing aids. The hearing aids had been 'OK' in as much as I certainly could hear more than I did without them. However, I found the background noise obtrusive and when staying at home did not wear them and was always in a hurry to remove them at night.

I made mention of this at my hearing exam to the audiologist who listened carefully to my comments. Re recomemded replacement under the NHS and offered my 'newer and updated aids. They went to some considerable effort to adjust them to my needs and I left the store wearing them and with a certain amount of apprehension.

However, I am pleased to report that since the aids were replaced about 6 weeks ago I have been ‘re-born’.

I think that the difference I now hear is to be compared with cataracts being removed. With cataracts removed you wonder how you ever accepted the dull lifeless colours as ‘the norm’. This is how I feel about the new aids, sounds are sparkling, well rounded and they feel so natural that I keep forgetting to remove them at night and go to bed still wearing them.

I have nothing but praise for this store and its staff.
