"Poor Post Op Care and Complete Apathy When..."

About: Three Shires Hospital

I received terrible post op care at the hands of BMI Thre Shires Hospital.

I did not receive my medication untill 11.00 am the next day when the consultant specified that it was to given to me immediately after operation. Similarly the cold compresses required were not provided until much later after the operation.

Others factor in my post operation discomfort was that the slide sheet was left on the bed between me and the sheet all day resulting in me experiencing sweating all day, the alarm pendant was not placed near my bed and I was left with the bed in an uncomfortable V position. It was only when the evening shift nurse came in and spotted these errors and the sliding sheet was removed, pendant repositioned next to my bed and bed adjusted.

It made for an uncomfortable and miserable experience and I was glad to be out of there as soon as possible.

I sent 2 letters which were responded to with complete apathy and inaccuracy.

I paid a lot of money for my stay and woulod not do so again.
