I developed a pain in my leg which got worse this morning Sunday 9th January. I rang the out of hours number and a doctor rang me back within an hour and arranged for me to attend the Westbourne Centre in Hull straight away. The receptionist offered me a wheelchair when she saw I was limping and I only waited ten minutes before I saw a female doctor who was very pleasant and friendly and she asked me to see a specialist DVT nurse who explained everything carefully, examined me and checked my Blood Pressure and temp etc. He reassured me it was not likely to be a blood clot but took a blood test to make sure and arranged a scan for tomorrow morning when the blood tests should be back. In the meantime he gave me an injection to thin the blood which made me feel very reassured and explained everything I needed to know. This is an excellent service and I would like to thank all the staff at the clinic who were friendly and professional throughout.
