"appauling and traumatising"

About: Princess Anne Hospital

Anything else?

I found my experiance very unreassuring the staff were not at all sympathetic to the awfull situation myself and my husband found ourselves in. As if it hadnt been traumatic enough finding out our unborn son was so poorly we were advised to abort the senior doctor left an unsupervised junior to use me as a guineapig without consent and then rushed of without checking the placenta thouroughly and me bleeding considerably. Was sent home with no helplines or offer of counselling . Came home still bleeding 3 weeks later still bleeding then came down stairs only to bleed out all over the floor in front of my children any way cut a long story short several hemmorhages later a fight to get scans which i did have to push for and several refusals to take me back to the ward even though i was a failed discharge it turned out the placenta had been left in 3 tmes i was appelled by the lack of remorse lack of appologies and the uncaring and unsympathetic tone the majority of nurses and doctors showed .I do have to say 2 d &cs later and several weeks back and forward bleeding and 2 bags of blood has left me very emotionally traumatised. Dont get me wrong some of the staff were amazing and wonderfull it was just a shame the other staff werent so caring and i cant fault the maternity staff on labour ward or broadlands as they have always been amazing but the gynea unit i will never use it again i would rather beg borrow steal and go private in future.AbortionCounsellingApatheticConsiderateWardChildrenDoctorsNursing staffPrivacyMaternity
