"Terrible"

About: The Wick Health Centre

The receptionist has been so rude and aggressive to me to the point that it feels personal. They shouted at me when I asked for a glass of water (I had to give a urine sample) and then refused to take the sample after the GP asked me to do it. Then when I tried to reorder a repeat prescription with my chemist and the practice refused, this was because the GP had got my dosage wrongin the first place, soon after moving from another practice. When I tried to clear up the problem over the phone, the receptionist was accusational and didn't believe what I was explaining. Then I brought my 3 year old son in to get his injections and they did not have the vaccinations and did not warn me not to come. The nurse was very apologetic and so we arranged to come back the next day, and on my way to the appointment I checked if it had been delivered but it hadn't but again no one told me again!!! Two days in a row I took my son out of nursery early, and built him up to have his injections. They said they would call me when it had come in and I'm still waiting on the call, over a week later. A separate time, I saw a GP pleading that I had Pelvic Girdle Pain, they said it was impossible so early on in my pregnancy. I asked my midwife and she sorted an apointment with the hospital physio who said it's perfectly possible. It has been a chain of events and problems and I am looking to move to another practice it is so bad. I had to rejoin this practice due to moving back to the area and in a matter of weeks I've had all this hassle and trauma. It's not normal to have this many problems.

Dear Patient,

Thank you for your recent feedback. I was very sorry to learn about the problems you experienced at the practice. I understand that you mentioned several issues which we would like to explore in more detail with you. As we take all the comments here seriously I would be grateful if you could contact myself (the practice manager) so that we can discuss this and investigate this further. If you would like to come in or telephone me I am normally available Mon-Fri between 8:30-5:00pm.

Kind regards.
