"Parking at City Hospital, Nottingham"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus

(as a parent/guardian),

I was visiting my daughter at City Hospital, Nottingham. This hospital is not familiar to me and so I was very reliant on the signs to help me park. I am disabled and so was looking for appropriate places to park. There were signs telling me that there were designated areas but the only marked spaces I saw were in staff car parks (which obviously I couldn't use). I spoke to someone in a reception area who phoned the car parking services who said that as long as I had a badge I could park anywhere. This was not indicated on any signs. There were also signs about fines if I parked in the wrong place which made me anxious  - and I was trying to get in to the hospital to see my daughter.

Please amend the signs or provide appropriate designated areas.

I am sorry that parking and unclear signage caused you additional, unnecessary anxiety. I have shared your feedback with our car parking team so that we can consider improvements where this is necessary. Thanks for getting in touch.

Best wishes,

Paula Charlton, Estates Manager
