"Bravo St Albans Hospital"

I recently spent time as a day patient on the day surgery unit and Beckett ward. The nursing and medical staff on both areas and also the theatre and housekeeping staff were friendly professional efficient and gave excellent care . I am a nurse myself and have also spent time in other hospitals including the private sector around the country as a patient and visiting relatives and I think St Albans is a shining star at the top of the list. From my referral by GP to my admission everything was straightforward and efficiently organised nothing needed chasing up. It means such a lot at a stressful time.

The thing that stood out was how happy the staff were and worked so well together, an example of the NHS at its best.
