"Ward 9 St.Leger ward"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Trauma and orthopaedics

I feel I must give credit to all the staff on ward 9, they are all so busy but still took great care of me. Being in a lot of pain all the time with a broken ankle, they would give me more medication and endeavor to make me comfortable within minutes of pressing the buzzer at whatever time. I had never stayed in the hospital before and wasn't sure of what to expect. One noticeable aspect was the hours they work, 12-hour shifts or more seems to be the norm, to me personally that is too long for anyone, but only proves their dedication.

I must also say the meals were very good and varied.

Main reception switchboard 366666 really need to get their act together. My wife has tried on quite a number of occasions ringing for an hour with no reply or simply cut off, In desperation, she has even phoned Bassetlaw who responded and helped with the situation at the time.Surely this is a very important issue as it is the first port of call for most people.
