Last November I discovered I was pregnant with my first child at 13 weeks. From the start the maternity services were amazing - the level of care given to myself and my partner was second to none.
I developed complications during the pregnancy and through every step I was made to feel involved and my views were taken into consideration.
I had initially hoped for a natural birth with as little medical intervention as possible however I ended up being induced at 37 weeks and required an emergency c section but due to care and attention I received I was not disappointed with my labour.
The staff were respectful, caring and utterly amazing as like most of the NHS they could always do with additional staff to help ease pressures but not once was I made to feel that pressure.
These services should be classified as Gold Standard as I doubt you would receive better care anywhere else
