I came in to the hospital twice, I was seen by the same doctor both visits. I would just like to say how brilliant this doctor was with me. Very sympathetic & caring. It was really lovely to have a doctor who was able to comfort me.
My first appointment I saw a number of doctors 1st one lovely! And the last one lovely! The second nurse I saw I felt was very rude and not sympathetic at all towards the difficult situation I was in - this really made it difficult for me to go through with the process, a lot of tears & a lot of confusion. I only mention this as I do not want any other woman to feel how I felt.
I arrive for my second appointment at 2:45 (appointment was at 3) so I was there ready. Now, I know that there is always a bit of wait and I don’t mind that I understand a hospital is a busy place! I waited just under 2 hours to be seen (again I didn’t mind this) I didn’t mind this because forthe first time ever my doctor has come out and explained that they were running late, apologised and said they will try and get to me as soon as possible. I thought this was lovely as the many times I have been to the hospital or even the loca gp never ever has a doctor came to let me know they were getting round to me as soon as possible.
Once being seen the doctor was lovely really friendly and it felt as if they genuinely wanted to look after me. I felt very comfortable with them. During the appointment I did get very emotional and instead of the usual ‘don’t worry, it will be okay’ the doctor really tried their best to make me feel better about the situation, it was almost like a mini therapy session. I was just so surprised that, even being their last patient of the day, they hadn’t eaten and was obviously shattered, they really didn’t want me to leave upset and tried theyr best to help. They wreereery supportive. Gave me the choice of what I wanted to do throughout the appointment, in terms of procedures and taking or not takin tablets.
I have never been so amazed by a doctor before, never have I had a doctor so caring. It was really lovely to see that there are some still out there! :) Thank you for making my experience that little bit easier.
"Looked after brilliantly."
