On Sunday 5th November I took my mother to A and E following a fall.
We did not wait too long before we were seen. I can not express how impressed my mother and I were with the staff on duty on that day. The department was very busy with beds in corridors as is often the norm these days, but despite this we had regular attendance by various levels of staff doing numourus checks.
Food and drinks were offered. As the full time carer for my mother their concern was for me as well as my mother. Yes we were at the hospital for 4 hours, so what, we are lucky to have this service and should embrace the positive points and not always dwell on the negative.
"Thank you all A and E staff for helping my mother"
