Attended with my son 15/11/17/
Receptionist who checked us in lovely.
The triage nurse brilliant - lot of care and concern.
When we were seen about hour and a half after arriving - this was fine, the nurse was okay
regarding my sons condition - he had toe surgery recently in London where he lives alone and they advised he had an infection.
The toe was dressed and advice given.
We explained returning at 14.30 on the train to London from Christchurch - this was about 13.20pm. Advised to change dressing in the morning - given iodine dressing - they had used half of the iodine dressing.
I requested a plaster please
the sealed ones that they used - I was informed - use any plaster. I was speechless.
Not an unreasonable request as travelling and no time to stop to buy a proper dressing plaster.
I work for the NHS and on relaying my story at work - could not believe it.
Perhaps a bit more empathy needed.
Maybe I should have offered to pay?
.
"Dressing request."
