"Was referred to AEC (ambulatory emergency care..."

About: Milton Keynes Hospital / Accident and emergency

Second experience with this unit but the care I received last week was extremely good. The dept was heaving and the staff were run off there feet but all were pleasant. It did take 6 hours but although I had been referred urgently by my GP there were other more important cases. There is tea and coffee and biscuits available and even a tv to watch. The registrar who initially chatted to me about my medical health was so attentive and kind. These wonderful people have a good system in place so everyone has at least seen a nurse in 20 mins of arriving. Part of the reason I had to wait was a delay on bloods. They had 3 cardiac arrests and 2 traumas in just a few hours! Thank you to all those dedicated people. Amazing I even had the detailed letter copy arrive today advising the outcome of my visit less than a week later!
