"Ward 10"

I just wanted to express my gratitude to all the staff in the maternity unit at UHND. I returned home yesterday after almost a week on Ward 10 and was so impressed with the care provided by all staff. The midwives, nursing staff, transition team and students were all amazing and couldn’t have been more caring. The fact that many members of staff took the time to check on myself and my baby without having to was heartwarming, and a great example of how nurturing the environment on the ward is. Everyone was so willing to help. During my daughter’s urgent and slightly traumatic entrance into the world the theatre staff were nothing short of amazing, keeping both myself and my husband calm, their professionalism was outstanding. The same applies to the lovely midwife that was with me throughout my labour. Thanks again to everyone involved in making what could have been a horrible experience into a positive one, you all deserve a medal (and a pay rise).
