I was admitted for a mitral valve repair amongst other things this time last year.
I can only commend all members of staff for their total commitment to my care.
I had to stay in CICU for a few days longer but my partner was totally satisfied as to why (I was a bit out of things for a while of course!).
The staff always made him feel welcome & he never felt he was bothering them ever.
Unfortunately too much time has passed for me to remember everyone's names but their kindness was wonderful & nothing was ever too much trouble.
Even the cleaners were friendly & would pick anything up I had dropped & hang it up or put it away.
I was on Ward 27 in the end as there was a shortage of beds on the day of my admission.
I found the food to be excellent too, even took to having sponge pudding & custard once I was eating properly again & I never eat that at home!
When the day came I was discharged, I really didn't want to leave as I felt so safe & was a little scared of being without them all.
Silly I know but that is just how safe & secure they'd made me feel..
Wonderful people doing a fabulous job.
The aftercare I have received & further appointments have all been excellent too.
"Excellent care before & after op"
