2 month ago gave birth to my beutiful doughter, but still can not forget how I was treated by mw and doctors in Watford hospital.
After ivf treatment I knew 100% that my choise of birth will be elcs, which was denied as my choise of birth all the way till the end.
I was put on uncomfortable position at my 12 weeks scan in fromt of other pregnant wimen by one of the staf becouse of my choise. My leg size was compered to giving birth and I was told I should be alright to give a birth as all woman do.
Me and my partner went to numerous meetings with the mw and doctors to express our choice well prepared knowing some of the statistics about cessation and vbac. I know I have the right to get a cs if you want. Also explained that I have had assisted conception and there is just too much at stake for me and my baby so I want to birth in a controlled way.
In last meating week 39 was forced to have vbac. When arived to hospital I was 6 cm dilated and had to wait for ages for my epidural- which didn't work in first place. When asked to do it properly again - I was told no doctors available as they busy...
In the end had to push without 2nd epidural working and all ended as emergency c section.
The only good thing to remember from all this experience is nurses who looked after me till we left hospital.
