"Huge delays in getting appointments, no info..."

About: Milton Keynes Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

After being referred to the hospital after 2 years of being ill, it took months to get any tests booked in. After initial tests in April, my next test was in August, and it is currently November and the bookings for my following tests do not seem to be in progress as referrals are not being processed.

This has been extremely stressful, and even though the length of illness is now over 2.5 years there doesn't seem to be any urgency or effort to get tests booked in a timely manner. I have had to call up months after I was told tests were being booked, in order to find out that I was not even on the waiting list and have had to get these sorted myself. If I had not called, I am in little doubt that I would never have been booked for further tests.

When I had a follow up appointment recently to discuss the results of my last test I was told that further tests would be booked before the new year (which is needed as I am out of the country for 4 months in 2018). However, a month on from this nothing has been processed and I've now been told this is unlikely to be achievable until after I return.

There does not appear to be any record of my prescription history or medical history, as I am required to answer the same questions each time I have an appointment. I have not seen the same doctor more than once, and have been prescribed the same tablets more than once even though they were shown to be ineffective the first time I was prescribed them (which is 2 years ago at this point).
