My aunt had to attend A & E due to a significant wound infection.
Even though the wait was quite lengthy, the whole experience was very positive in terms of the outcome for my aunt.
From the receptionist who took her details, to the nurse who reviewed my aunts history and finally the A & E advanced clinical practitioner and accompanying team members - they were all excellent!
So professional, competent, respectful and polite to myself and my aunt.
She was admitted to the surgical assessment unit, where yet again it was clearly busy but my aunt was made to feel like an individual by the assistant practitioner who had excellent communication skills and who completed the admission process.
My aunt was feeling very unwell when I brought her to the hospital and when I visited her less than 24hours later, she looked so much better thanks to the prompt and intensive treatment she received. A huge thank you to all of the staff involved
