"No suitable appointment"

About: Diabetes foot screening

(as the patient),

I received an appointment for my diabetes foot screening which was not suitable. As per the letter I phoned to ask for an appointment which would be more convienient to me.

Turns out I can't have one, because I can't fit in with the times the relevant section works, which is very part time.

I need an appointment either on my day off (Wednesday) or early morning so that I don't lose income from my self employment work.

But it seems neither Wednesday or early morning is convenient to the NHS anymore.

You used to be able to make a new appointment (to suit you) whilst at the clinic. But since the NHS became "more efficient" you can no longer do that. Now you have to wait for the letter, which inevitably has an unacceptable time/date, so you have to waste time phoning to rearrange, and the NHS has to waste time & money employing someone to do the rearranging, and sending out new appointment letters.
