I attended A&E after having a somewhat amusing accident at home (needle stick injury from my rabbit). I was seen quickly, by a compassionate nurse, who talked to me like I was a valuable human being and I was treated as such.
I then had another short wait before being called through again and seen by someone who may have been something like an advanced care practitioner who was outstanding. They listened, looked, went for advice, listened to my needs about medication (vegetarian) and did all of that in a very personable and friendly manner. The nurse practitioner was just great! Really fabulous at what they did.
I was in and out, on a Saturday night, within 90 minutes.
It's been a long time since I've been to A&E for me but the service from everyone was outstanding, and I can't thank them enough.
