"It really made me a much better carer"

About: Guernsey House / Primary care addiction service Sheffield (PCASS)

(as a carer),

I have been supporting my partner who is being treated at guernsey house. We both fing it very useful to be able to see the nurse and doctor together.

I have found this particulary useful in gaining a understanding of the process and how to support my partner through it, it has really made me a better carer.

We are coming to the end of treatment soon, but it has been very important for us to do it at our own pace.

Thanks for your feedback about Guernsey House. We value hearing about the experiences of service users and their families and carers.

You can ask at the reception desk or speak to the nurse or Doctor about getting some support for yourself if you feel that it might be useful on top of the treatment your partner has received.

Wishing you all the best,
