"consultant meetings with patient"

About: Walton Hospital

Having received information that the named consultant had been on annual leave,

I found it totally unacceptable that they did not see my patient until today, 10.11.2017.

Yes they called me this evening but it was a call dominated by what they saw on their visit and not what patient was presenting with prior to ward meeting 31.10.17 when he was severely agitated and not presenting how consultant found him today..

I am truly and sincerely not convinced that my Oh's true presentation is not being appreciated by his consultant and this is causing me great concern as to what is going to happen to my loved one in the future.

I tell you now,

I am absolutely prepared to go to the ultimate degree as regards exposure of our situation.

This includes possible referral to a third person.

We are very sorry to hear about the poor experience you and your husband have received when trying to access Older Peoples Mental Health Services at Walton Hospital.

This is not our usual standard of care and we would like the opportunity to investigate why this has happened.

We require some more information to enable us to look into your concerns.

Please can you contact our Patient Experience Team on 01773 525119 to discuss this further.

Thank you for providing this feedback as we are committed to identifying opportunities for learning and to improve our patients experiences of services.
