"First class treatment in A & E"

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital / Accident and emergency

I just wanted to say a very big thank you for my treatment this afternoon.

I sustained quite a small cut to my foot which possibly had been caused by walking barefoot over a sliver of glass in my kitchen.

The wait was less than two hours, and once I was seen treatment was completed out within an hour.

I was sent to the x-ray department.

Then I returned to A&E and was seen immediately when I was told that the x-ray had revealed there was a sliver of glass.

I was given very good local anaesthetic and the sliver of glass was removed.

I was amazed that it was pretty small - so fantastic work to find it in the x-ray and then find and remove it!

Lovely staff, thank you again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding our emergency department. I am pleased to read that the care and treatment you received was efficient and of the high quality we aim to provide. I have shared your comments with the clinical leaders and team, who I am sure, will be delighted and greatly encouraged by them.
