About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

What I liked

Intensive Care Neurosurgery staff very helpful, kind and attentive..

What could be improved

No anti bacterial cleaning soap in first two dispensers into Sahara B ward on arrival to ward

Anything else?

My father was admitted on the 16th to this hospital. On Sahara B ward he was not given dinner on the first day of arrival. After we complained he was given what was clearly the leftovers of other peoples dinners..a dried jacket potatoe and some runner beans..and a grudging apology from a nurse. We threw it away in disgust and urchase dhim a ahm roll and some fruit. He then had surgery and spent two days in I.C. On his return today he again was not given dinner and this time with no apology..we are livid. This is a patient who can speak for himself and tell us he hasn't been fed what about the poor soles who may not be able to communicate following their surgery or head injury..are they just being starved??? I am disgusted . This is basic human need which is being over looked for patients at their most vunrable and in need of nurishment...no excuse what so ever!!! an offical complaint will be made on behalf of my father tomorrow.

We hoped for a better experience than last time my afther was at the hospital when on the night of the oepration a mouse was seen running across the ward. shockingly the hospital was only a year old at the time..!

I wouldn't wish the hospital on my worst enemy!
