I like the surgery. It’s clean and modern. I have had difficulty with staff on reception over the phone. Its answered quick and I like the informative “you’re number — in line”. However, there’s been two occasions when they’ve spoke about sensitive things over the phone and corrected themselves and apologised to me for mentioning it out loud. I had tried throughout the months of August, Sept and Oct 2017 to be booked in for a coil replacement. Everytime to be told that the new nurse who does that hasn’t started and I’m on a waiting list and will get a phonecall. I tried again in Nov 2017 and the person on reception although polite was unaware of who done what. They didn’t know who’d fit a coil or about my other enquiry, who’d do a cervical smear. The information from reception isn’t accurate. In the end after saying they’d ring back soon and get the answer for who can do those things I wasn’t able to answer as it was 2 hours later and I was at work. I rang back the next morning to get through to a different person who started every sentence with “obviously”. “Obviously you want me to see if it was us ringing you last night” “well actually I just want my coil replaced as I’ve been trying a while”. They got muddled up on the phone saying they only replace coils. Great! That is exactly what I needed. They then said that was wrong and said they only remove but don’t put a new one in. “obviously if you want that you’ll have to go to Icash which is obviously on Oak Street”. Icash Isn’t obvious to me at all. I didn’t know what that was or that they were even a Family planning clinic. Basically, I find them uninformative as after a long wait of August-November, it turned out to be a waste as the surgery doesn’t even deal with what I need. Thank you. My coil was meant to come out the month of August
"Tidy. Well ran."
