I went to see my GP about a torn tendon in my right shoulder; it extends down to my elbow. I was sent an eReferral dated September 2017. I have had this torn tendon since early August '17. I mistakenly thought it was a pulled muscle and thought I could treat it myself using internet advice.
Later, I realised it was a torn tendon. I then went to my GP. I have checked on the waiting list times for the treatment I need. Orthopaedics can keep me waiting up to 18 weeks. I have waited six weeks thus far. I've learned to do many things using my left hand. However, I think I need to receive treatment as my condition is painful. I could wait longer, if necessary. I will try to speed things up myself. Hence my contacting you. If you can speed up my orthopaedics appointment, please do.
