"Birth in delivery suite"

About: John Radcliffe Hospital / Maternity

I gave birth to my second child last weekend as a consultant lead patient at the delivery suite. Unfortunately my labour didn't go to plan and I had an emergency c section with some complications . The midwives, consultants and general staff were fantastic through the four days I spent in hospital. I was kept fully informed at every point, and I was treated with consideration respect and compassion. From a medical point of view the care I received was probably life saving. The delivery suite may not be beautiful (many other facilities are better decorated) but I can't fault the quality of care I received - I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

It's great to hear that you found the team so compassionate and respectful, during what must have been a difficult time for you, and that you were kept fully informed about everything as it happened.
