"Trying to ring the audiology contact telephone..."

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Audiological medicine

I'm trying to call this number 01872 253747 but it is constantly engaged.

This is over the last 2 days.

There is no way to find out if there is a fault on the line because the main hospital telephone number doesn't answer and I can't find an email address.

Dear Anonymous

Thank you for posting a review of our Audiology department, I am ever so sorry that you have had difficulty contacting the department on 01872 253747. I can confirm that there is no fault on the line; however it is often engaged due to the high volume of calls it receives.

I have contacted the Head of Audiology and passed your feedback on to her and she would also like to offer her apologies and has provided 2 alternative telephone numbers for Audiology, 01872 254907/253787, an email address rcht.audiology@nhs.net as well as a SMS text line 07340356773. This information is available on our Royal Cornwall Hospitals Audiology webpage but not currently on NHS Choice which she feels would be helpful to patients so is in the process of seeing if this information can be added in the near future.

I hope the above information helps and you are now able to make contact with the department. If you do experience any further problems, please do not hesitate to contact me on here or alternatively leave a message with our Patient and Family Experience Team (Complaints) on 01872 252793 or email rcht.patientexperience@nhs.net.

With kind regards

Michaela Brewer, Patient Experience Coordinator
