Pains in the chest Christmas Eve late afternoon, ambulance crew of 2 took me to the hospital A&E . Soon in a ward on floor E , briskly put to bed by a couple of nurses .
Things progress smoothly, good group of male patients om the ward , all the of the nurses were fantastic and very patient ,
Tests of all sorts and physio continued until
I had a double bypass and a valve on the 3rd January.
Aftercare was fist class , changed wards a couple of times and all went smoothly .
The nurses and ward staff were always helpful and attentive
The food was nothing to write home about but generally edible , i would have liked to have plain cheese sandwich , but i never did get one.
I was discharged on the 20th January ( i must admit i started to feel like a bed blocker )
A blood test and a visit to my own surgery had been arranged By the hospital
also i was offered a set of
Rehab sessions in the QA hospital area
February i was contacted by the Rehab Nurse
April ,started 11 sessions of rehab run by 4 nurses , these nurses were most caring and easy to speak to . making it enjoyable .
