"My wife's treatment at Morriston Hospital"

About: Morriston Hospital

(as a relative),

Last year my wife came to Morriston Hospital to be fitted with a Bi ventricular pacemaker.

When the operation came she was fitted with an ordinary pacemaker.

She had many problems after that but the nursing care was second to none on her first two wards, except for a visit from a renal doctor who told her she would probably die if she had to undergo renal therapy. Then she was transfered to a different ward.

The staff on this ward I just couldn't believe. The patients 'call buttons were placed on a shelf running around the room, which seemed totally out of reach of bedbound patients. I saw food was placed slightly out of reach of these patients and very little help made to feed them.

My wife was misshandled and had heavy bruising on her arms.

On at least one occasion when I went to ask about her treatment the only nurse on the whole department was a student nurse who told me that the other nurses'Were in the toilet'
