"Appointment system fails patients"

My concern is about Holywell Surgery, Chesterfield.

I can only get same day appointments to see the GP. This is unworkable, it would mean driving to work 20 miles away, getting on the phone and hopefully eventually getting an appointment. Then telling my employer at short notice that I was leaving to drive all the way back home to see my GP.

This poor performance has already been noted on patient experience surveys. Why has it been allowed to continue?

I have also seen elderly patients trying to make appointments in the surgery on behalf of loved ones and experiencing the same sorts of issues.
