"anorexia treatment"

About: Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Eating disorders

(as the patient),

The YCED (Yorkshire Centre for Eating Disorders) is not a place I want to ever go again I have been there several times and each time my experience got worse. I felt that the staff do not communicate and each one told me something completely different. The small handful of staff that I found were supportive seemed to hardly be on shift.

I made lots of friends on my journey but I hate this place. I feel like there was no communication or structure.

Dear neptunexj86

I'm glad that you were able to make a number of friendships on your journey. It's always good to have someone you can talk to and relate to.

I know that the Yorkshire Centre for Eating Disorders Team will feel disappointed for the service when they read this posting and will want to learn from your feedback. I have shared this with the Ward manager and the Operational service manager for the team to be able to use reflectively.

If you are willing to share your experience further to help the team understand what didn't work well and what improvments they could make to their practice, could you please contact the ward manager to discuss further?

With kind regards
