"Treatment at Pilgrim Hospital"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Accident and emergency Pilgrim Hospital / Acute Medical Unit Pilgrim Hospital / Diabetic medicine

(as the patient),

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Staff of Pilgrim Hospital for my excellent treatment during recent admissions.  I was admitted to A&E following a 999 call for a diabetic emergency. The staff there looked after me in what I can only describe as an outstanding way. Following assessment I was transferred to the Medical Admissions Unit and again received excellent care and the staff could not be more kind and helpful. Following assessment I was transferred to ward 8A where I spent a few days receiving tests and treatment.

My consultant on ward 8A was Dr Epen (Diabetic Consultant), who again treated me with the utmost respect and explained everything to me in a way that I could understand.

Upon my discharge I received fantastic support from Dr Jacob and the diabetic nurses Yvonne and Sarah.  This was my first stay in Pilgrim Hospital for emergency treatment and I cannot speak more highly of the kindness, courteousness and professionalism of your hospital, from the start with the Ambulance through to the wards and finally to the outpatient staff.  I have already written to each department and sent a thank you gift as I wished them to feel appreciated but I also felt compelled to write to you, so that you are aware of my gratitude to your hospital.
