My first visit to my local walk in center, Nutgrove Villa in Huyton, was in July 2008 where I was treated for a blister on my left foot but unfotunately I was diagnosed with osteo-myelitis and had to have two toes amputated.
This was a blow in itself but with the dedication of the nurses in the dressing clinic that began to heal, but it took almost eighteen months for it to finally heal.
Then another problem arose when I suffered an ulcer on my left ankle and later another appeared on my right foot. To date these are still ongoing and with the nurse's involved with my treatment Sharon, Gerry, Ruth & Kerry whom I feel I must name have looked on this as a challenge as I've been attending every day since 2008.
I'm now begining to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm still in terrible pain as the ulcer is on the joint of my ankle and has to take the full body weight when walking.
