"A comforting and reassuring place to be"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / General Surgery (Ward 5)

(as the patient),

I was admitted after a visit to A & E, it was found I had gallbladder problems as well as pancreatitis.

Although in a lot of pain I was overwhelmed by the level of care and attention provided by the team of ward 4. Every member of staff at every level showed how great the NHS can be.

A big thank you to all the nurses who cared for me but a special thank you to Lynne, Victoria and Ellie who made my stay at it's worst a comforting and reassuring place to be while away from family.

I'm set to return for further surgery but after my experience it doesn't seem such a daunting thought!

Dear traps22

Thank you for your positive comments.

I shall pass this on to all of the team especially Lynne, Victoria and Ellie who shall be delighted to hear.

It can be a daunting experience attending hospital and I am glad to hear that you are reassured for the next stage of your surgery

Thank you once again for your feedback and best wishes.

Gordon
