As I work in the NHS it is with great sadness that I leave a poor review.
My mother is s vulnerable adult with severe dentist requiring all care 24/7. She was admitted to the ED following an episode of choking.
Only one person introduced themselves during the entire visit- it was impossible to identify anyone in charge.
I witnessed no hand washing or use of hand gel before or after patient contact!
I witnessed drugs administered to my mother - no drug chart or patient ID checks were used!
Syringes were just carried n the nurses hand!
At no time was my mother offered s drink or personal care. She is doubly incontinent and has pressure sores- there was no pressure relieving mattress! I had to ask for her to be turned and changed! this request was met with disdain and a repeat request. The elements of basic nursing were not delivered- this is a very sad day
"A sad experience"
