I have recently been discharged from the hospital having been diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. Following this I was quite anxious and concerned about what this meant and what would happen moving forward for me. I booked an appointment with Dr (as they had previously suggested I attend the hospital when the incident occurred) and they was great in explaining everything to me and generally making me feel better about the whole thing. They took a lot of time in answering all my questions and explaining what had happened / is happening to me in a way that I could understand. In a time when doctors and surgeries are under incredible pressure and time constraints, it was so nice and reassuring that they took the time to do this and not once did I feel at all rushed.
I know surgeries and staff can receive criticism at times and so feel it is very important to recognise all of the good they do too. Following my initial appointment I have been back for a blood test and had several conversations by phone and everyone from reception, to nurses, to the doctors have been incredibly accommodating and helpful.
"Excellent care and advice"
