"Three stays in Whiston hospital"

This year 2017 I have been in Whiston for 3 different procedures relating to breast cancer and a melanoma on the sole of my foot. Which I am due to have further surgery for.

I cannot express how much the staff were superb in their care and time that they spent looking after me.

The consultant was amazing in respect of my breast surgery as was the whole theater team made me feel safe and calm when I was in the anesthetic room as I was terrified.

When I went back a few wwwks later for the foot surgery the consultant was so supportive for my request to have the canular put in my foot as I have an increased risk of lymphadema to both arms due to the breast surgery.

The anesthetist was brilliant they gave me gas to initially put me to sleep so they could put the canular into my foot as this is a very painful procedure to do its far better to be asleep if at all possible. The anesthetist talked me through how they wanted me to take the gas in they were brilliant it was a piece of cake. I cannot express how grateful I am to have had such wonderful caring people looking after me.

I am due to go in again soon for further foot surgery although a little nervous I know I will have a superb team around me.
