"Very limited treatment after middle age on NHS"

About: Guy's Hospital

I have quite a bit of problem. Problem in my jaw, problem with my bite. I get bitten inside of my cheeks, lip and tongue due to my upper teeth not inline to lower teeth therefore can't bite my food properly as well. Pain in my jaw, part of face and head.

I have been referred to Guys and Eastman and both places have not done anything for me. It has been few years since I was first referred and then twice to Guys and I have been left very disappointed.

I was referred to Guys second time last year and I was seen by several people and finally by the Prof. I was simply advised to go and see an orthodontic privately. So working most my life and paying taxes and nat ins for years was not for my benefit but for younger people.

I am now in my early sixties so I suppose I am not entitled for NHS treatment now.

I have been going through these problems for a long time and they won't do anything for me.

I can't afford private treatment as I don't have that kind of income due to being a full time carer for mum.
