"Physiotherapist services"

About: County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust

(as a parent/guardian),

Booked an appointment for our 13 year old daughter with a paediatric physiotherapist, as recommended by our GP.

Very difficult to book an appointment directly, spent several minutes being passed from person to person before appointment arranged. No letter to confirm appointment but advised to attend Stanley PCC Physiotherapist.

Arrived for appointment, no reception staff in Physio dept, unable to sign in on monitor, then noticed sign stating paediatric dept downstairs. Went downstairs, but once again no sign of staff, after waiting for a few minutes decided to go back upstairs to Physio dept.

No sign of staff but a helpful workman attended to us and found a physiotherapist, who I felt was most unhelpful and not at all sympathetic. We were told that the clinic was full, so no time to attend to us and that we should have signed in on the monitor. Explained to the Physio that this was not possible, that we had tried but were unable to.

I felt that this Physio basically ignored us, so we left the dept 40 minutes after arriving for appointment.

What a complete waste of our time.
