"ante natal care at St Marys Manchester"

Having read some stories from people who've had poor experience of ante natal care from the NHS, I wanted to give an endorsement to the care I've received from the staff at St Marys maternity hospital in Manchester.

I had a result of increased risk for downs syndrome from blood tests that were taken around 16 weeks which was really stressful. I cannot speak highly enough about the midwife who looked after me, telling me the news, getting me booked in for an amniocentesis, supporting me at the amnio appointment and then following up with the results.

I know that the hospital trust has to make savings, and that many of the staff were on strike earlier this week in their lunchbreak about possible staff cuts. I just wanted to say that the work they do is highly professional, sensitively carried out and hugely valued by myself and my partner.

If anyone in Manchester is looking at options for maternity care I would definitely recommend St Marys.
