"Impossible to get an appointment, disgusting..."

About: Groby Road Medical Centre (Id Patchett)

For the last 3 months I have had a quite serious stomach problem and every time I have rang up to get an appointment to see a doctor they have had the same response. Sorry we have no appointments you have to go to the urgent care clinic/ walk in centre.

I am on the phone at 7.45 in the morning and you just cannot get through, it on average takes around 35-40 attempts to get through to them in that time and by then it's 20 past 8 and you get the same response. Yeah we can't help you have to go to the urgent care clinic.

I am due to have a surgical procedure on Friday 15/01/15 and needed to see a doctor and they were just so unhelpful. It's disgusting, completely and utterly disgusting.

The reason you have a local medical centre is to get seen quicker by your own doctor who looks after you but it seems that the medical centres are happy to just fob you off to the urgent care clinics without a care in the world and not an ounce of I'm sorry in their voice. They are so casual and unsympathetic it's unreal, they should not work in the care industry.

The doctors when or if your lucky enough to get an appointment are great but the reception staff need either better training on how to deal with patients or just need to be replaced with people who have a genuine care and a want to help the people that call seeking medical help or Come walking through the door.
