My overall experience of the hospital over the years has been very good. Nice hard working thorough staff. My children have also been treated very well here and so I've never needed to complain. However through no fault of my own I found myself in a mental health crisis, I was burnt out through workplace pressures and ended up needing support from the mental health teams. I feel the environment that should be there to assist with recover sends me in crisis. The rooms used are office like, desk, chair and that's it. Magnolia blank walls. When at your lowest moments you are made to feel worse. It must be rough on the staff too. It's not an easy job and this can't help. I used to take in my own paintings to help my mind to focus. I would like to work with the hospital to make a positive difference and I'm currently negotiating change. I hope to be able to make a more positive review next time. Until it changes I will end my sessions in this environment, with regret. Ps why don't you recognise this service in your survey? I had to tick the box don't know but it's community mental health.
"Unhappy with mental health services."
