"Angiography exoerience"

About: Good Hope Hospital

I should like to report a very positive experience with the Good Hope angiography team. Staff were professional, polite and attentive.

The nursing team in Angiography Recovery were also friendly, very attentive and caring.

The only suggestion that I should like to make, for ALL NHS STAFF, is please be open to the patients preferred name. Many people, like myself, use a middle name or some other name. I realise that the patients first name will inevitably be written on a white board and that staff are busy. However, being called by a name that I do not use is very uncom-fortable, and I am sure that other people feel the same way.

Dear Ms McCarthy,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your treatment by the Angiography Team at Good Hope Hospital.

It is lovely to read that the staff were professional, polite and attentive towards you; as were they Recovery Team.

I am pleased that you had a positive patient experience; however I am very sorry that your preferred name was not used by the staff.

I shall forward your posting to the senior management team and ask that it is shared with the staff, as I am sure they will be delighted to read your comments.

I will also highlight to the team your suggestion regarding people’s names.

I do hope you are recovering well following your procedure.

Best wishes

Jenny Langham

Patient Services Officer
