I was recently referred to the Rehabilitation (Physiotherapy) department for hip replacement assessment. My initial consultation was with one of the doctors who asked what I was expecting from the appointment and took time to explain the options. The doctor went on to examine me and asked me to perform several tasks/movements after which they recommended a course of hydrotherapy to avoid the neccessity for a hip replacement at this stage. I subsequently made an appointment for that same week and was seen by a physiotherapist who devised a suitable excercise regime for me to follow at home and made a first appointment for hydrotherapy. My treatment thus far has been exceptional and my appointments have happened in a very short space of time. Thank you to all the staff involved from reception to the doctor for my friendly, caring treatment
