"Children's unit"

With great sadness I will never bring another child here again the staff were lovely but not enough of them to give even basic care, we were in triage at 8:45 pm with a 5 year old child who had crushed her toe in a door, we were still sat in the most disgusting waiting room full of rubbish not enough seats so the floor was the only option for over 5 hours, it was like a disaster zone, the men's toilet was cleaner than the women's!!!! at 2:45am we were seen by a doctor who was severely over stretched!! The toe sorted out by a really nice nurse who I might add was workin alone at the time, we finally left at 4:15am!! With a 5 year old! It was the worst experience ever, we are a working family we all pay our NI contributions but it's really not value for money!!! The poor staff in this unit must be so disheartend treating the most vulnerable without the resources to do it efficiently, I'm 57 and have always used nmgh but last night it was like a war zone .... Most disturbing.
